Aqua (water)
Purified, Norwegian water is used to release the active ingredients in our moisturizers. Water is naturally found in the skin and is essential for maintaining the skin's moisture balance.
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride
An emollient, non-comedogenic oil suitable for all skin types. It is considered skin-like because it mimics the triglycerides found naturally in the skin's sebum.
Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil)
Non-comedogenic and safe for all skin types – even oily and acne-prone skin. Mimics the skin’s natural sebum and helps balance oil production without clogging pores. Has soothing, anti-inflammatory properties and is rich in antioxidants like vitamin E, which protect against environmental aggressors and early signs of aging.
Squalane
A stable and skin-identical lipid found naturally in the skin's own oils, Squalane strengthens the skin barrier, provides intense moisture and acts as a powerful antioxidant. It also calms redness and irritation.
Cetearyl Alcohol
A mild fatty alcohol used as a thickener and emollient. It is well tolerated, even by sensitive skin.
Glycerin
A natural humectant derived from sugar cane, glycerin is part of the skin's own moisturizing factors (NMF) and helps keep skin soft, hydrated and balanced.
Lactobacillus/Rice Ferment
Fermented rice using Lactobacillus bacteria, which breaks down nutrients into bioactive compounds such as enzymes, peptides and amino acids. This process improves the availability and efficacy of the ingredients. Moisturizes the skin, strengthens the skin barrier and supports a balanced skin microbiome.
Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide
A prebiotic sugar compound that promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria on the skin. Contributes to a balanced microbiome, strengthened barrier and improved moisture levels.
Hydrogenated Lecithin
A stabilized form of lecithin with a high content of phospholipids, which are essential building blocks of cell membranes. Has a barrier-strengthening and soothing effect, while contributing to better moisture retention. Sustainably extracted from sunflower oil.
Ectoin®
A natural, multifunctional ingredient with solid scientific evidence. Ectoin protects skin cells from environmental stressors such as pollution, UV radiation and blue light. It provides intensive and long-lasting moisture, strengthens the skin barrier and supports the skin's microbiome - making it particularly suitable for sensitive, irritated or allergy-prone skin. Sustainably produced using advanced biotechnology.
Zinc PCA
An effective combination of zinc and PCA (pyrrolidone carboxylic acid), a natural moisturizing factor found in the skin. Zinc PCA has sebum-regulating and antibacterial properties, making it ideal for oily, blemished or acne-prone skin. At the same time, the PCA component helps maintain the skin's moisture balance, without drying it out.
Panthenol (provitamin B5)
Soothing, moisturizing and repairing. Improves skin elasticity and supports barrier function.
Triheptanoin
A lightweight triglyceride that mimics the skin's own lipids. Softens, protects and helps strengthen the skin barrier - without clogging pores.
Tocopherol (vitamin E)
A powerful antioxidant that protects the skin from free radicals and oxidative stress.
Xanthan Gum
A natural thickener produced by fermenting sugar. Used to provide consistency and stability to the product, without irritating the skin.
Maltitol
A mild sugar alcohol with moisturizing and softening properties. Gentle and ideal for sensitive skin.
Caprylyl Glycol
A multifunctional humectant with antimicrobial properties. Helps protect the product while providing moisture and softness to the skin. Not derived from vegetable fatty acids. It is not classified as a preservative according to the EU Cosmetics Regulation (1223/2009 – Annex V).
Propanediol
A natural humectant that also improves the absorption of other active ingredients. Our propanediol is plant-based and derived from corn.
Glyceryl Caprylate
A natural emulsifier and humectant with antimicrobial properties derived from glycerin and plant oils. It improves the skin barrier and helps stabilize the emulsion and increase the shelf life of the product. It is not classified as a preservative according to the EU Cosmetics Regulation (1223/2009 – Annex V).
Lactic Acid
A natural humectant that is part of the skin's NMF. Supports the skin's moisture balance and barrier function, and can also stimulate ceramide production. Used here in very low concentration (0.001%) as a pH-regulating ingredient. Derived from plant sugars.
Arginine
An amino acid found naturally in the skin. Strengthens the skin's moisture level and helps maintain a healthy and balanced barrier.
Propanediol
A humectant and emollient that also improves the transport of other ingredients in the product. We use a propanediol derived from corn.
Glyceryl Caprylate
A natural emulsifier, humectant and emollient that also has antimicrobial properties. We use it to stabilize the emulsion and give the product a longer shelf life. The ingredient is derived from glycerin and vegetable fatty acids.

Since this summer, I have been using Ectoin light moisturiser, which has become a new favourite! I keep it in the fridge, and I think it is really nice to apply it in the morning.
